The town's origins date back to the 16th century with the arrival of Spanish settlers in this region already occupied by Native Americans.
The main economic activity of this town of 10,000 inhabitants is now centred on tourism, an industry that has been taking off in recent years.

Morro Bay is particularly popular for its Morro Rock, a volcanic neck that has appeared in various animated films. 

You can therefore start your stay by visiting this famous Morro Rock. At 177m high, the rock is very impressive and offers a magnificent landscape as it is bordered by the Pacific Ocean. Even if climbing is forbidden, you can visit the base of the site.
